<p><strong>The Bird Sitter</strong> is a bonded and insured pet sitting service
offering boarding & in-home visits to bird owners in the Dallas / Fort Worth
(DFW) Metroplex. We provide premier boarding facilities in our home and also
make house calls to care for your birds when you are on vacation or working
late. For bird owners with other pets, limited sitting services for dogs, cats,
reptiles, & rodents are available. We operate The Bird Sitter out of our 3300
sq. ft. home in Allen Texas. Our 500 sq. ft. bird room is filled with full size
cages, manzanita play stands, pvc play structures, toys, climbing nets and a
sitting area to sit and enjoy the birds as they play. We also have various stands
set-up throughout the house - so the birds can be moved from room to room if
needed. Outside we have a wonderful outdoor aviary, 612 cu. ft., for use when
weather permits - complete with a Texas-sized concrete bird bath and all the
branches & trimmings! (Picture coming soon!) The feathered members of our family
include a Blue & Gold Macaw (Simone), a Blue Fronted Amazon (Clover), a White
Fronted Amazon (Snicker~Doodle), 2 Cockatiels (Rocky & Cosmo), and 6 Parakeets
(Sky & Buster, Chuck & Lucy, Snoopy & Woodstock). If you'd like to learn more

<p><strong>PARROT Boarding (in OUR Home):</strong> This service includes: feed
and water your birds allow your bird outside of their cage on playstands during
the day if they desire (this applies to tame birds with wings clipped) provide
fresh air in our outdoor aviary give showers, misting, & cuddles give medicine,
vitamins, and other special care get medical treatment in case of illness monitor
birds at night via intercom We are happy to keep your birds normal schedule
upon your request. Otherwise the birds are allowed out all day to play and be
cuddled if they desire. Their cages are left open during the day and they can
go in and out on their own. They have access to Zupreem pellets 24/7. Each morning
they are fed fresh fruits and veggies, and a warm mixture of pasta, bananas,
raisins, dates, basmati rice, split peas, barley, wheat, corn, oat groats. Each
afternoon they are given sprouts and a nut mixture with dried fruits & veggies.
Treats are offered too. We encourage you to bring your birds' cage and favorite
toys to ease the transition. However, we can provide a nice cage as well during
their stay. Your birds are always supervised during cage-free time. </p>
<p><strong>PET Sitting (in YOUR Home):</strong> This service includes: pre-visit
to your home to meet your pets prior to our contract start date. feed and water
your pets clean food & water bowls & cage bottom exercise & play with them for
a minimum of 30 minutes (up to 1 hour) per visit give medicine, vitamins, and
other special care get medical treatment in case of illness And while taking
care of your pets, we are happy to water your in-door plants and make your home
look "lived-in" by bringing in your mail and newspapers and adjusting draperies

<p><strong>How to reach us:</strong> We are located in Allen, Texas, about 20
miles north of Dallas. Email is the best way to reach us - we monitor our email

Our business hours are M-F, 9am to 4pm. However if we have several boarders
with us, it is likely your call will go to voice mail (since we spend our time
with the birds!). However, if your bird is boarding with us we will always return
your call promptly. Calls inquiring about our services will be returned during

us you may drop by at anytime - we welcome your visits! Calling ahead of time
is not required, however to ensure we have not stepped out to run a quick errand
